The Society of Daughters of Mary Immaculate (DMI) is an Apostolic Society having its presence in 11 Countries namely India, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Rome, Brazil, Central Africa, Papua New Guinea and Kenya.

The DMI’s involved initially in 10 villages in and around Keechalam, responding to various needs of women and children. Their first mission outside Madras Archdiocese was opened in our neighboring State called Andhra Pradesh in the year 1988.

We march towards the Father’s Kingdom where everyone welcomes the Gospel, which radiates the warmth of the Light of Christ and the joy of the people who are evangelized. This, we bring to humanity through an uninterrupted process of New Evangelization and by the practice of our particular spirituality called “Immanuel Spirituality”.

The Daughters of Mary Immaculate International traces its beginnings to the religious organization known as Daughters of Isabela, which had its head office in New Haven, Connecticut. The first Philippine Circle (Unit), the Holy Rosary Circle No. 856, Manila, was formally organized on May 24, 1951. More circles were subsequently organized.
