2016年11月16日 · The DBX 165 was the first compressor I spent a lot of time with in the 70's, and it warms my heart to think of it. BUT, while the 165 was affordable and well-behaved, it was the first generation of over-easy comps. The 160 is a later generation and, in my opinion, more refined. It has better metering and seems to be more of a pro build.

2009年4月6日 · Fletcher has said the 165 sounds better that the 165A - something about the limiter section sucking in the latter even when it's not being used. Definitely the same pedigree as the 160VU but with more control over parameters.
