DEC produced the VT-180 (codenamed Robin) as an upgrade to a standard VT-100 terminal. An add-in board supplied a processor, RAM and IO including a disk interface. An external disk cabinet (or two) were added for storage.

2019年6月7日 · The DEC VT180 is a DEC VT100 terminal with the ability to run local CP/M programs on an integrated Mostek MK3880N (Z80 compatible) microprocessor. A VT100 could be upgraded to a VT180 with the addition of floppy drives, a replacement expansion backplane for the terminal and additional card containing the processor and disk interface.

The Robin was an oversized VT-100 with the motherboard mounted inside the CRT case. The keyboard and floppy drives were separate. Mine was a "super PC" because it had four floppies. The OS was CP/M. They were manufactured abt 1982. Though available only to DEC employees, I got one through a contractor who was working with me.
