In 2020, the unjust murder of George Floyd triggered worldwide protests and overdue reflection about racial injustice. It was during that time that we at EF Education First also stepped back to examine our approach to the issues of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and realized with some pain that we had not been doing enough.

Our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging (DEIB) team here at EF is committed to promoting a workplace that is not only diverse, but equitable, inclusive, healthy and a safe place where our staff feel they belong.

We commit to continually improve DEIB at EF across all fronts: race, gender identity, socioeconomic status, age, ability, language, sexual orientation, ethnicity, caste, education, and beyond. We our part to protect the planet by continually seeking ways to reduce our carbon footprint to ensure a more sustainable future for generations to come.

2024年4月17日 · EF for more than three years has been striving to appeal to more foreign teachers from different parts of the world. They created the DEIB. This is a group within EF that promotes diverse cultures through cultural events, webinars, and diversity programs.

By being part of the DEIB Committee, I am committed to contributing to the cultivation and preservation of a safe and diverse environment, by embracing the diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging as part of EF Kids and Teens' identity and working culture.

This fall, EF Academy New York created a dedicated committee for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB), which will be responsible for celebrating cultural diversity, embedding inclusion in the classrooms and residences, and acknowledging areas of need for equity within the school community in order to inform school policy.
