Dengie is a hundred in the county of Essex, England. It corresponded to the Dengie peninsula, with the inland, western boundary running from North Fambridge to just west of Maldon. It was known at the time of Domesday as Witbrictesherna (Wibrihtesherne) Hundred [1] until the hundred court changed its meeting location.

Dengie (pronounced with a soft 'g') is a peninsula in Essex, England, that once formed a hundred of the same name (sometimes spelled Dengy). The peninsula is formed by the River Crouch to the south, the Blackwater to the north, both of which are tidal, and the North Sea to the east.

The Hundred of Dengie is a hundred of Essex, in the east of the county, forming a peninsula between the Crouch and Blackwater estuaries. It is bounded by Thurstable Hundred to the north; by Rochford Hundred to the south; by Chelmsford Hundred to the west; and by Witham Hundred to the north-west.
