Dhi Qar Governorate (Arabic: ذي قار, romanized: Thi Qār, Arabic: [ðiː qɑːr]) is a governorate in southern Iraq, in the Arabian Peninsula. The provincial capital is Nasiriyah. Prior to 1976 the governorate was known as Muntafiq Governorate.

The Battle of Dhi Qar (Arabic: يوم ذي قار), also known as the War of the Camel's Udder, [4] was a pre-Islamic battle fought between Arab tribes and the Sasanian Empire in Southern Iraq.
