DMHAS facilities provide DHOH services, including American Sign Language (ASL) and Home Sign interpreting, Certified Deaf Interpreting (CDI) and Tactile interpreting, Signed English, Foreign Sign Language, along with other forms of visual communication as well as Auxiliary Aids and access to Communication Access Real Time (CART) and Video Relay.

A person with disabilities who needs Deaf, Deafblind, Hard of Hearing (DHOH) services can contact several resources when in a crisis. 9-8-8 Lifeline is a network of local crisis centers providing free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHOH) Program provides comprehensive programs and services for children from birth through high school graduation who have an educationally significant hearing loss. The Program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students (DHOH) provides instructional support and services for students with hearing disabilities, birth through age 21. Auditory/Oral and Total Communication are the two communication methodologies used for instruction.

Bi-Bi education of DHH children allows children to use American Sign Language as their first language and English print, writing and reading, as their second language. The two languages are taught separately but are developed concurrently. Students are taught about Deaf identity and are immersed in the Deaf community and culture.
