2019年2月8日 · At their most basic, Drum Maps associate a drum-instrument name with a MIDI note, and it is these names that are displayed in the Drum Editor’s instrument list. You can define these names directly from within the Drum Editor (just double-click on an instrument name to edit it), or you can do so from the Drum Map Setup panel.

The drum map (some DAWs also call it note names or pitch names) will allow the DAW to display the actual drum names (Kick, Snare, Hi-Hat etc.) in the MIDI editor instead of just the blank piano roll keys. This makes drum programming much more convenient since you are going to actually see which drums you are about to draw into the MIDI editor.

2025年1月15日 · After looking for the Drum Maps for Cubase of Abbey Road Drummer, EZ Drummer 2 and Studio Drummer, I was not very successful in finding the right ones. So I decided to recreate them from the PDF documents I got with my products.

The Default Drum Map Profile defines a MIDI-CI Profile for a default mapping of specific drums to specific Note Numbers. The note map used in this Profile was established by many products in the 1980s as a commonly used set of note assignments for drum sounds and that was later standardized in General MIDI.
