2023年2月7日 · The DSB-LK stands for (and translates to) “Long-Range Strategic Bomber Flying Wing”. Its designer, Aleksandr Moskalyov, initially aimed for the aircraft to reach a maximum speed of Mach 2 to Mach 4.

The DB-LK (Dahl'niy Bombardirovshchik-LK – long-range bomber–flying wing) was a bomber aircraft designed and built in the USSR in 1939. Viktor Nikolayevich Belyayev had an illustrious early career with TsAGI, AVIAVnito, Aeroflot, OMOS, AGOS, KOSOS and the Tupolev OKB.

2023年3月16日 · Known as the DSB-LK, the aircraft had a “flying wing” layout with a wingspan of 38 feet, a takeoff weight of up to 280 tons, and a dry weight of 88.5 tons. The aircraft also didn’t have a pronounced fuselage. Instead, its nacelles were at the center, with the lower part protruding from the wings.

According to Secret Projects UK, the plane limit is supposed to be Mach 4. Arguments exist for the DSB-LK upper limits as the six VK-15M turbojet engines have only enough thrust to push it to Mach 2.8.

2022年9月5日 · DSB-LK stood for Dalniy Strategicheskiy Bombardirovshchik – Letayushcheye Krylo (DSB-LK), meaning Long Range Strategic Bomber – Flying Wing. This was around the same time Lockheed Skunk Works started research on the SR-71 Blackbird after being asked by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to develop a fast-flying spy plane to replace the U-2.
