The Embraer E-Jet E2 family is a series of four-abreast narrow-body airliners designed and produced by the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer. The twinjet is an incremental development of the original E-Jet family, adopting the more fuel-efficient Pratt & Whitney PW1900G, a geared turbofan engine.

A combination of capacity and range in one high-performance aircraft, the E190-E2 is the ideal tool for operators wanting to enter new markets and take advantage of new opportunities. Carrying a full load pf passengers, the E190-E2’s range extends to 2,850nm (5,278 km).

In the 2010s, Embraer introduced the second-generation E-Jet E2 family, featuring more fuel-efficient engines. However, as of 2023, the first-generation E175 remains in production to meet the needs of U.S. regional airlines, which are restricted from operating the newer generation due to scope clause limitations.

Mar 21, 2021 · Following final flight tests of the E190-E2, at the beginning of 2018, Embraer highlighted that the aircraft proved to have 1.3% better fuel consumption than expected. Moreover, the progress is a 17.3% improvement when up against the E190. Furthermore, the new engine’s fan diameter is over 20 inches (50 cm) wider.

2019年5月15日，巴西航空工业公司大鲨鱼涂装e190-e2飞机再度到访中国。这架e190-e2完成了在西宁的静态展示后，于当日由西宁国际机场成功飞抵坐落于海拔3950米之上的玉树机场。 [3]
