At 6am Thursday 31st October 2013, a new look launched on E4. Devised by Channel 4 and 4Creative, the idents see the introduction of 'Eefer', a robot in the form of E4's logo - which like the channel's signature purple theme, hasn't changed. Also, each of the idents has updatable elements which means each ident can be changed at any time.

In 2013, after 6 long years, the presentation package on E4, Channel 4's spinoff entertainment channel targeting a younger demographic, was refreshed. Out went the surreal idents with teddy pigs to be replaced with... well... a different set of surreal idents.
