
Ford EEC - Wikipedia
The Ford EEC or Electronic Engine Control is a series of ECU (or Engine Control Unit) that was designed and built by Ford Motor Company. The first system, EEC I, used processors and components developed by Toshiba in 1973. It began production in 1974, and went into mass production in 1975. It subsequently went through several model iterations.

I've also added which VAM air meter matches each ECU as well. Hope this info can be a helpful source of information.

Other generic terms for the same thing are ECU = electronic control unit, ECM = electronic control module, and these days, PCM = powertrain control module. My 1988 T-bird fan continuously comes on after I turn the key. I have two new IRCM's from Ford.

2009年12月1日 · If I determine that it is the IRCM or EEC, does anyone know where to get them? Just wanted to know if there is anything I should watch out for. I don't think that Ford would still have them in stock but if anyone could clue me in on where to get one and what to watch out for, i'm all ears. BTW it is for my 88 Turbo Coupe. Thanks tony

2004年2月21日 · If you wanted to get the *most* out of your computer setup, really the only way would be eec tuner/ tweecer. I think the la3 will boot up plug and play with your application, without much trouble (pretty much same setup as im doing right now, minus the cam) ...but a wb02 and eec tuner always help!
