The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia named Dr. David Schecter the President of East Georgia State College on January 3, 2022. Since that time he has helped lead the College through its “50 th Anniversary” year in 2023 and his main focus is on growing enrollment and ensuring students have a terrific experience on campus.

2021年11月9日 · Dr. Dawn Cartee has been serving as EGSC’s interim president since Dec. 1, 2020, when President Bob Boehmer retired. Cartee’s 30-year career in higher education has also included serving as director of the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education and Hotel, and as president of Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro.

East Georgia State College (EGSC) is a public college in Swainsboro, Georgia, United States. It is part of the University System of Georgia. As an access institution, the college serves a predominantly rural area of 24 counties in Georgia's coastal plain from its three campus locations.

The President serves as the chief executive oficer for East Georgia State College and is responsible for the financial, strategic, and visionary oversight of the College. The President reports to the Chancellor of the University System of Georgia Board of Regents. The President has a senior leadership team known as the President’s Cabinet.

While at Columbia, Matthew has on the executive boards of the Engineering Graduate Student Council and the Mechanical Engineering Graduate Association.
