2009年3月23日 · A popular knife among sailors was any of the variety of EGW knives. EGW knives were made by E.G. Waterman and Company of New York City. The EGW Number 1 had a 7-3/8 inch blade and a leather handle. The total length was 11-7/8 inches.

This knife comes with its original scabbard, which has the name of the owner stamped onto the back. These knives were very popular among USGIs during WWII due to their versatility.

There are variations of this knife, including a non-serrated version. Widely issued, and I sold my last one in that condition, with sheath, for $40.
