The purpose of this manual is to provide instructions to Multifamily Housing Program users on how to use and maneuver within the Housing portion of the Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) system.

The best and most effective way to document compliance with EIV Reports is to set up a binder for each project; with separate sections for each report and place them in chronological order from back to front.

We recommend owner/agents set up Master File binders (paper or electronic) and incorporate the following tabs in the binders: • Master File – Admin – We do not purge these forms

In July 2010, HUD released HUD Notice 10-10 as a guide for owner/agents using HUD’s Enterprise Income Verification System. In addition to assisting with the employment and verification process, EIV can be used to monitor compliance of existing residents. Owner/agents are required to periodically view certain reports.
