2010年9月29日 · The Electromotive Division GP59 is a 4 axle, 3,000 HP diesel-electric locomotive built by EMD from 1985 and 1989. The GP59 utilizes a turbo-charged 12 cylinder 710G3A engine rated at 3,000 HP, and was offered as a less powerful, more fuel efficient version of the GP60.

The GP59E is yet another rebuild in NS's ever growing list. This project entails rebuilding NS's 36 unit GP59 fleet, 33 units ordered by NS plus the three EMD Demos.

The EMD GP59 is a locomotive produced by Electro Motive Division (EMD) as a lower-power version of the GP60. It is powered by a 3000 hp 12V710G3A diesel engine. 36 were produced, all of which were bought by Norfolk Southern. There were three EMD demos also purchased by NS.

Good Condition. Runs very noisy but smooth. Non powered dummy unit. No damage.
