Effects of electromyography biofeedback for patients after knee …
2021年5月7日 · In recent years, electromyography (EMG) biofeedback has been used in physical therapy after knee surgery (Giggins et al., 2013). It enables the patients to improve muscle strength and voluntary control by converting electrical muscle potentials into meaningful signals in real-time (Frank et al., 2010).
Electromyography-signal-based muscle fatigue assessment for knee ...
We extracted two parameters to estimate muscle fatigue from the EMG signals, the zero-crossing rate (ZCR) and amplitude of muscle tension (AMT) that can quantitatively assess muscle fatigue from EMG signals. We found a decrease in the ZCR for the RFM and the BFLH in the muscle fatigue condition for most of the subjects.
EMG Sensor-Based Exoskeleton for Knee Injury Rehabilitation
Effective rehabilitation techniques are now critically important due to the rise in the number of knee surgeries performed worldwide, including total knee arthr
Combining enhanced spectral resolution of EMG and a deep …
Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is a prevalent, debilitating joint condition primarily affecting the elderly. This investigation aims to develop an electromyography (EMG)-based method for diagnosing knee pathologies. EMG signals of the muscles surrounding ...
An EMG-driven musculoskeletal model to estimate muscle forces and knee ...
2003年6月1日 · This paper examined if an electromyography (EMG) driven musculoskeletal model of the human knee could be used to predict knee moments, calculated using inverse dynamics, across a varied range of dynamic contractile conditions.
With regard to the ICO exercise, our study demonstrated balanced or matched EMG activity for both the knee flexors and extensors. No sin-gle muscle or muscle group studied revealed significantly more activity than the other at each angle tested, including 30 and 15" of flexion.
EMG-informed musculoskeletal modeling to estimate realistic knee ...
Electromyography (EMG) signals are commonly used to measure muscle activity in vivo during dynamic activities. For example, co-activation of rectus femoris (ACL antagonist) and biceps femoris (ACL agonist) was examined by calculating the co-contraction index (CI) from EMG data collected on male subjects during DVJ from different heights 37.
EMG profiles of knee joint musculature during walking: changes …
The right and left foot contact patterns and the linear envelopes from the surface electromyogram (EMG) patterns of the gastrocnemius, medial and lateral hamstrings, rectus femoris, and vastus lateralis were measured.
Continuous knee joint angle prediction with surface EMG
2024年9月1日 · Surface Electromyography (sEMG) is an important source for obtaining human motion information, the joint angle of the human body can be predicted. Therefore, this paper proposed a method for predicting the knee joint angle of the lower limb based on sEMG signals.
Effects of Electromyographic Biofeedback Training After …
4 小时之前 · Background: Meniscal tears are common knee injuries often treated with arthroscopic partial meniscectomy (APM), though its superiority over conservative treatment is debated. Postoperative quadriceps weakness, especially in the vastus medialis oblique (VMO), can impair knee function due to muscle imbalances. Electromyographic biofeedback (EMG BFB) is recommended to enhance muscle activation ...
