2008年5月30日 · Kimber ultra sized guns are great. Plus, as opposed to the EMP (another good gun), you get .45 ACP or 9mm (vice 9mm for the EMP). Note that the difference in recoil btw the .45 and 9mm ultra sized guns is negligable and both are very accurate.

2011年6月6日 · The EMP is just a hair shorter lengthwise while the Ultra is slightly shorter in height. Noticeable difference in width with the Ultra thinner. EMP being a 9mm holds 2 more rounds then the Ultra, and loaded they both weigh right at 30oz. Shooting them both is a pleasure although I admit I am better with the EMP.

2010年11月5日 · Hi there. I recently was given a Springfield EMP in 9mm for my birthday. (My husband rocks!) I'm carrying it every day, but can't find a defensive ammunition that will feed. I've tried Federal Hydrashok, Remington Gold Saber, and Winchester Ranger. All three of these rounds hang up on the bottom edge of the feed ramp.

One of the biggest challenges for a 1911 chambered in 9mm is getting the magazines just right to feed reliably.

2008年7月1日 · I got an EMP a couple of weeks ago. IIRC, every part but 3 was scaled down to make the pistol as small as possible in the 1911 form factor yet still able to operate with 9mm.

2016年2月4日 · The Springfield EMP 4" and the LW Champion (currently: Range Officer Champion or LW Champion Operator) are two different pistols, however they are both available in 9mm. The difference is that the EMP was specifically built around the smaller 9mm cartridge whereas the LW Champion is more of a traditional 1911 and built for the .45 ACP.
