The End of Evangelion[a] is a 1997 Japanese anime apocalyptic science fiction film written by Hideaki Anno, directed by Anno and Kazuya Tsurumaki, and animated by Gainax and Production I.G.

The End of Evangelion WP (新世紀エヴァンゲリオン劇場版 Air/まごころを、君に, Shin Seiki Evangerion Gekijō-ban: Air/Magokoro o, Kimi ni?) is the second film in the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise, and the last anime release for the series until the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy. The film is an alternate ending to the TV series, taking place after Episode 24.

SEELE wants to evolve into immortal gods like ADAM, so they plan on using the Mass Produced Evas to cause the third impact with Lillith.

I just feel that the end of EoE almost feels unnecessary if you understood the anime ending. Yes, they tie up loose ends with Shinji's mom, Rei, and the guy that's a descendant of Adam, but I feel like a lot of it was redundant.

2021年4月27日 · I think the NGE and EoE endings are both good conclusions to the original series/timeline but they both had a similar message/meaning to them. The NGE ending was mostly about Shinji getting to embrace others/humanity in his mind, making a decision that will change what kind of a person he is during the Human Instrumentality Project.
