EBMM Axis / Axis BFR vs (Fender) EVH Wolfgang USA?
2012年4月24日 · But, believe it or not I can buy a brand new EVH USA Wolfgang for the same price or $100 less as my EBMM Axis BFR, in a 2A quilted or the new 5A flamed finish. Or I can get a Black, White, or Stealth finsih for anywhere from $350-550 less than the EBMM AXis BFR.
EBMM Axis necks through the years | Ernie Ball Forums
2023年1月3日 · The Axis necks are the only EBMM necks I have played, besides all of the Sterling necks. The Luke was super interesting. I could tell it was an offspring of the same parents but a little different than my Axis'. I liked it. It was still better than anything else in this smaller Arizona guitar store, but I did not like it over my Axis necks.
Sterling by EBMM Axis 5-way switch question - Ernie Ball Forums
2024年4月14日 · The EBMM Axis Super Sport uses a 5-way 4-pole lever switch. So you’d need to replace the switch to use that wiring. That said, there’s not a huge difference between inside coils and outside coils so you’d have to decide if it’s worth the work.
Ebmm evh vs axis - Ernie Ball Forums
2012年1月2日 · There are only 5 differences in the guitars, 1. Pickup switch location, 2. Beveled Back on the Axis, 3. The EVH has off set saddles on the bridge, 4. The neck is a little 1/32 smaller at the neck joint which makes the EVH feel a lot better …
Music Man Axis Set up / String height action etc
2016年3月19日 · The Axis guitar is designed for the tremolo to sit flat on the body, and only allow movement in the dive-bomb direction. Because the bridge is limited in its adjustability via the pivot screws, the string height is primarily adjusted by adding or removing shims from the neck pocket.
Want to get an EBMM Guitar - recommendations? - Ernie Ball …
2024年1月9日 · The best you can do is to try EBMM guitars in a shop ... but of course it's not so easy (in France, EBMM guitars are really hard to find). I own 4 EBMM guitars : a Morse, a SUB, an Axis Super Sport (ASS here on this forum ...) and and Albert Lee HH with a rosewood neck. The AL has the larger neck and the ASS the smaller one.
My thoughts on the EBMM EVH | Ernie Ball Forums
2002年12月18日 · Playability wise, the EVH had an extremely fast neck, with nice low action. I could sense that the neck was slightly different from the Axis, but I couldn't put my finger on exactly what it was(no pun intended). I can see why the EBMM EVH owners say that they prefer the EVH to the Axis. There was a noticible difference in tone, and playability.
Evaluation of my new Axis - Ernie Ball Forums
2018年9月2日 · However, since playing the Axis more I found a sweet spot for lead between approx 9.5 and 9.7 lol. It is really tight, but there is an area that is workable for now, but not long-term. I like to have guitars that have enough variance that they really clean up around 4-5, have good lead tone around 9-9.5 and really push when it is cranked.
About EBMM Axis Pickups? - Ernie Ball Forums
2007年1月23日 · Based on my experience, if a Tone Zone is a 10 on the output scale, the EVH/Axis DiMarzios are about an 8 on the same scale. They aren't as hot and are much clearer sounding than the Tone Zone - Air Norton combo. Air Norton is closer to the EVH/Axis neck p.u. than the Tone Zone is to the EVH/Axis bridge.
Neck shapes - Ernie Ball Forums
2021年9月19日 · Both have the asymmetric carve profile, but the SBMM Axis is flatter - 12" radius per their website, vs. 10" radius on the EBMM, per their website. The SBMM Axis neck is also slightly wider (.7mm at the nut to 1.4mm at fret 22). It's enough that they feel different. Not that the SBMM Axis feels bad, but the EBMM neck feels that much better.
