Solid shampoo bars were invented by Lush co-founder Mo Constantine and cosmetic chemist Stan Krysztal. According to the brand’s US website, 35% of Lush products are “naked”, or plastic-free. These products are universally solid, water-free products that eliminate the need for preservatives.
