EMD GP7 - Wikipedia
The EMD GP7 is a four-axle (B-B) diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division and General Motors Diesel between October 1949 and May 1954. [2] The GP7 was the first EMD road locomotive to use a hood unit design instead of a car-body design.

The EL EMD GP-7s and GP-9 were purchased as general purpose units by both the Erie and the DL&W. These unit came into the EL from the former roads. The EL units came in several configurations. A few had steam generators for passenger service in the NY and NJ area. Some had dynamic brakes.
