She will succeed Deb Archer, who announced last year that she would retire after more than 25 years at the convention and visitors bureau. Chin has been president and CEO of Visit Franklin (Tennessee) since June 2014.

Ellie Westman Chin is the President & CEO of Destination Madison, where she oversees the mission to increase the impact of the tourism economy on businesses, workforce and the quality of life for Madison, WI. She oversees a team of 30 whose efforts bring meetings, events and leisure visitors to the greater Madison region.

Ellie Westman Chin assisted in creating the Nashville Sports Council for the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau, now the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. Under her guidance, the Houston Oilers (Tennessee Titans) and the Predators came to Nashville.
