We are delighted to announce that Ellie has smashed out a brilliant result at the State Championships in Sydney. Still only 7, Ellie has finished 20th overall in NSW for the 8 years girls 50m Freestyle! The roof lifted off classrooms at WPS as her schoolmates cheered her on watching the livestream. In 2019, the Warialda Sports Council has made the decision to host their annual presentation ceremony in conjunction with our fi nal assembly of 2019. This special presentation will take place on Friday the 29th of November immediately following the annual student leadership assembly.

Warialda Public School was established in 1851, making it amongst the oldest in the state. The school services the township of Warialda and the surrounding rural areas in the Gwydir Shire. Its student population is 182, with more than half of the students travelling to school by bus.
