The Experimental Model 3, shortened as EM-3, was a British self-loading rifle designed by Major Eric Hall. The EM-3 was designed in 1947 when Major Eric Hall moved from Australia to England to work at RSAF Enfield. It was a semi-automatic bullpup rifle that utilized the trigger piece from the Bren and the magazine of the Lee-Enfield SMLE.

By late-1947 three principal rifles had been designed by the Armaments Design Department for the Infantry Personal Weapon programme. In January 1948 these were designated the EM-1 designed by Stanley Thorpe, the EM-2 designed by Captain Kazimierz Stefan Januszewski and the EM-3 developed by an Australian, Major J.E.M. Hall.
