The Eastern Interconnection Reliability Assessment Group (ERAG)’s mission is to preserve and enhance the bulk power system reliability of the Eastern Interconnection.

ERAG is playing a leading role in developing system representations for use in power flow and system stability studies because of the need for simulation models that cover a wide geographic area.

• Conduct EI assessments as identified by the ERAG to comprehensively assess reliability in the Eastern Interconnection or applicable sub areas of the Eastern Interconnection. • Facilitate communications to coordinate ERAG activities with PCs and the ERO-RAPA-SG.

EIPC provides a forum for interconnection-wide coordination of system planning activities of its member regions in the Eastern Interconnection while also providing policy makers and regulators with relevant, complete and technically sound information.
