Interstate 279 (I-279), locally referred to as Parkway North, is a north–south auxiliary Interstate Highway that lies entirely within Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Its southern end is at I-376 at the Fort Pitt Bridge in Pittsburgh, and the north end is in Franklin Park at I-79.

When the Fort Duquesne Bridge opened, and I-279 was proposed to end at the Point, exit numbers were placed on that section beginning with Exit 1 at Liberty Avenue and Exit 4 for Three Rivers Stadium, now North Shore.

Interstate 279 crosses the Allegheny River on the Fort Duquesne Bridge between Point State Park and the North Shore. A three-wye interchange (Exits 1 B/C) joins the north end of the Fort Duquesne Bridge with PA 65 north to U.S. 19 at Manchester and Reedsdale Street west to Allegheny Avenue and Acrisure Stadium.

Interstate 279 North at Exit 12 - U.S. 19 - Perrysville Avenue. Access to both directions of the federal highway is available via a short jog east on Cemetery Lane, which the Exit 12 ramps directly connect to.
