The only difference is, Response and Extar have plastic receivers, so an OOB discharge often injures the shooter. None of these guns have a positive OOB safety. The AR-15 utilizes the relative motion of bolt and carrier for safety.

2025年1月31日 · The buffer spring is longer (11 7/8") and stiffer than an AR spring (10 5/8), but shorter and stiffer than a Tubbs flatwire spring. The buffer is 4" and 7.8 oz vs 3 1/4" for an AR buffer. The Extar buffer is slightly larger diameter but an AR spring still fits. Bolt/buffer weight is 21.3 total, buffer itself is 7.8oz.

2024年3月4日 · Extar provides an adjustable buffer tube as an upgrade, which ill probably spring for. The EP45 will definily be my goto HD tool with maybe a spare franklin armory trigger i have lying around for the lulz. I think were living in the renaissance of the pcc and the extar is a great economical example of that, especially in 45acp.

2019年6月5日 · Also, follow the instructions. Extar tells you to load full magazines with the bolt open, and use the slam/thumb button to charge it. Or you can damage the gun and/or magazine. As you invest in other magazines, different brands and capacities, you'll find that they don't drop when released. Big deal really, unless you're in a firefight.

2018年3月21日 · Extar seems to be the reincarnation of Professional Ordnance. The address is the same. For those that don't remember, they made the Carbon-15 before Bushmaster bought their assets. Anyone have the specs on the barrel and bolt materials? I can't find it on their site. The 45 ACP and 10mm specs say they've got an NP3 coated chamber.

2023年7月6日 · Looking for a little help/advice. I have 2 PCCs, a Hi Point 9mm and an Extar EP9, OK, get the jokes over, I know neither is considered 'great', but they are what they are. I have a thing for oddball guns. Neither gun groups good at all, I mean they're terrible, like 12 inch groups at 50 yards (left. right, up down from POA).

2017年12月2日 · I have a 1st generation Extar Exp 556 And they discontinued the pistol brace mount (tactimount) that was made for this gun. The 2nd gen has a small picatinny rail on the back of the lower receiver, where the buffer tube would be. So you can use a Thordsen buffer tube adapter or some such.
