F1 graded felt is the most durable and dense industrial felt available. It absorbs and retains low-viscosity oils and is suitable for applications exposed to continual abrasion, friction, impact, or pressure. Typical uses include door bumpers, washers, wicks, and polishing blocks.

SAE F-1 Felt has the highest durability of any industrial felt, a density range of 0.32-0.36 g/cm³, and 95% wool content. Highly resilient, F-1 felt is recommended for uses where impact, pressure, friction, and abrasion are constant.

F1 felt strips, rolls, and sheets are suitable for sound deadening, spacing, and dust shielding. Grade F1 felt rolls have the best rate of abrasion resistance and vibration absorption. Each unit is ideal for sealing, cushioning, dampening, and gasketing.
