2019年3月25日 · Just wondering if anybody here has recently (2019) successfully opted-out of the automatic conversion from F2B to F1 when the petitioner naturalizes. The most recent posts I can find are from 2015 ( here ) and describe a very awkward process of contacting both USCIS and NVC with ad-hoc letters requesting the opt-out.

2019年9月23日 · My mother-in-law (on green card) filed a case for her son under I-130 F2B category (above 21 years unmarried) in 2016. We received receipt (I-797C) within a month. Till today (2019), we have not received any approval and the website and on phone, we continue to hear same response that the case is under processing. Here comes the complication!

2023年7月4日 · There has been a really sad situation for all the F2B family visa category petitioners and applicants since July 2022. Today is July 2023, and the Visa Bulletin Table A has been halted for the F2B category for more than 24 months. There is no clear explanation about this matter from any official at the Visa Office at the DOS.
