The Northrop T-38 Talon is a two-seat, twinjet supersonic jet trainer designed and produced by the American aircraft manufacturer Northrop Corporation. It was the world's first supersonic trainer as well as the most produced. The T-38 can be traced back to 1952 and Northrop's N-102 Fang and N-156 fighter aircraft projects.

Air Education and Training Command uses the T-38C to prepare pilots for front-line fighter and bomber aircraft such as the F-15E Strike Eagle, F-15C Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon, B-1B Lancer, A-10 Thunderbolt and F-22 Raptor. The Talon first flew in 1959. More than 1,100 were delivered to the Air Force between 1961 and 1972 when production ended.

The Inua Aviation F-38, Arkanian designation AF-110 Aerial Supremacy Craft, is a family of single-seat, supersonic, twin-engine, all-weather combat aircraft developed by the Inua Aviation Bureau (now the Inua-Berkant Aviation Bureau) for the Arkanian Republic Air Force and its successor, the Arkanian Imperial Air Force.

The latest, upgraded version of the aircraft is the T-38C Talon II, which entered operational service in 2003. To create the new model, older airframes were (among other things) retrofitted with new, electronic instrumentation.

2024年11月12日 · Northrop adapted its N-156F lightweight fighter (later the F-5 Tiger II) to create the YT-38, which first flew in April 1959. The T-38A, the world’s first supersonic trainer, became operational in 1961. Having now trained over 72,000 U.S. Air Force pilots, it continues to serve the USAF, even as the T-7A Red Hawk nears operational capability.
