2012年7月5日 · The King Air F90 and F90-1 were produced between 1979 and 1985. The F90s were faster than their predecessors, thanks to a more powerful version of the Pratt & Whitney PT6 engine. The F90 actually is a “hybrid” King Air in that it combines the fuselage and wings of the King Air E90 with the T-tail of the King Air 200.

2009年8月1日 · The King Air F90 is a fuel-efficient version, thanks in part to the Pratt & Whitney engines with improved turbine blades that extract more power from the engine. At 300 mph true air speed, it burns less than 70 gallons per hour.

The F90-1 was built with redesigned engine cowlings, upgraded PT6A-135A engines, hydraulic landing gear, and triple-fed electrical bus. Only 33 were built by the time production on the model was terminated in 1985.

Cruising speed jumped to 267 knots and the F90, and the slightly more powerful and faster F90-1 (with Dash 135A engines), were instant hits. Eventually, 236 of them would be made (204 F90s between 1979 and 1983 and 32 90-1s between 1983 and 1986).

2008年9月30日 · With its two PT6A-135 engines, the King Air F90 climbs so well that owner Ron Zagami often files for low-20,000-foot cruise levels, no matter how short the leg. The broad T-tail enables smoother airflow and enhanced pitch control.

2019年1月1日 · Considered by many to be the finest of the smaller 90-series Beechcraft King Airs, the F90 is a typical “parts-bin airplane.” It uses the E90 fuselage and wings merged with the towering T-tail of the larger King Air 200. It also added 400 more horsepower than the C90 of the time, earning it the same “Super King Air” badge as the 200.
