3 months training - they offer you roles throughout those 3 months. Td, rbc, bmo, Manulife, sunlife, Morgan Stanley are the big ones I remembered. Mostly TD and RBC in that era but they don't do business with RBC anymore due to some bad publicity when an fdm-rbc contractor had a piece about FDM in the Toronto star.

2017年4月16日 · In fact, FDM Group employs sales people who have NO knowledge of the IT industry - it is no wonder that they supply jobs that are not even IT-related. I was simply conned from the start with FDM Group and their dodgy contract. They make you sign a contract before your training which contains some dodgy clauses in it.

2023年7月21日 · Back in 2016 as a fresh CS grad I joined FDM Group in UK (Leeds). It was supposed to be a java dev bootcamp with a guaranteed placement after course completion. It was a shitshow for desperate people who wanted to break into CS industry (I was the only one with a CS degree out of 15 ppl in that group). They were not training for tech skills.

2022年11月1日 · I considered FDM Group too but decided to hold out for now. For what it's worth Ontario Labor Relations Board ruled* thier $30,000 penalty fee for breaking the contract was illegal as of last year . This ruling will apply to all similar consultancies I think.

2021年7月10日 · I'm considering breaking my contract with FDM Group early and wanted to know if anyone had actually been sued by FDM Group to collect their $30k training fee. From everything I've read it appears FDM Group's legal team sends scary emails and letters but never actually pursues the fee in court.

2023年12月13日 · I got an offer from the FDM group earlier this week, but I had to take an assessment first. I was told I had to score a 65% I got an email this morning telling me I failed the assessment, so I couldn't move forward with the contract. I'm a big believer things happen for a reason, so I wasn't particularly upset.

My client work area is the South East (North Carolina / Georgia). -12 weeks of paid training starting July 11 - $15/hr. - 2-year contract with the group, starting at 50k and 5k raise every 8 months. - 50k --> 55k --> 60k

On the FDM side, once you are placed, you become their daddy, because you are directly generating profit for them (they taking a big portion of your contract salary). Cons: pay: the salary is medium to low but comparable for similar graduate consultant (like capgemi and pwc).
