2025年2月18日 · How does everybody feel about these rumors about FF9 getting a remake? I loved that game, but I always assumed this Remake series to just be a one-off thing for the classic darling. Not that I haven't been enjoying this game, just I assumed it was getting special treatment. Does anybody think there's any weight to these rumors? I'm curious to read the room.

2022年1月19日 · So.. about that ff9 thing. The rumour started with an nvidia driver leak that revealed several games before they were announced like Chrono Cross Remaster and God of War pc. And it did say FF9 Remake. Though tbh I bet it will be something like ff8 where the main characters get HDified they reorchestrate the ost and repackage it for sale.

As for remake, I doubt they will remake 8. They did a remake of 7 and 4, and considering how Kitase and his boys act, they will focus on erasing Sakaguchi's touch in FF series, and consider their own work as untouchable, which makes Remake of FF9 sound legit.

It's slow, unimaginative (maybe on purpose as a homage to old FF) and in general just unimpressive. But most of all I hate the slowness.
