My Rem 700 action has no problem with nailing the M118LR but my Badger M2008 has a weaker spring and will contact the primer on the M118LR but will failure to fire about 30 percent of the time.

2010年2月2日 · I always assumed the FGMM .308 was for Bolt Guns and FGMM 7.62X51 was for Gas Guns. Using that logic both can be used in a Bolt Gun but only the FGMM 7.62X51 should be used in Gas Guns as the FGMM .308 may be too harsh on the gas system. But it could also be a marketing ploy to use FGMM .308 reject lots as FGMM 7.62X51 as its usually cheaper.

2020年2月7日 · I ran the same powder charge in hornady brass but was 2550 (thinner brass I suspect) and shot one of my best groups ever 5 shots @ .180" .. Just got me thinking maybe i need to slow it down a little. I asked about the FGMM 175 velocity because it seems all other 308 ammo is judged off of it.

2010年8月29日 · I have shot the FGMM 168 hpbt side by side with the Hornady 168 hpbt match load. This was from a stock Rem. LTR .308. They both shot about the same for me out to 500y. At the time FGMM was running $40 a box and the Hornady was $25 a box so I went with the Hornady. I think there brass is way better than Federal brass.

2012年1月9日 · In my hands, the BH match loads (168s and 175s) can shoot very well, definitely right on par with the FGMM loads at shorter distances. However, I have also observed that the velocity ES seems to be significantly higher for the BH loads than the FGMM. If you're want to stretch things out past 500-600 yd, you might start to notice the difference.

2020年11月10日 · My FGMM clones begin with F/L resized commercial brass and a large rifle match primer. I like IMI, IMI Match, PPU, and Starline. The IMI stuff uses crimped pockets. Add 168 SMK at 2.815" OAL and 43.5gr of IMR-4064, or 175SMK at 2.815" OAL and 42.2gr IMR-4064. For the 168, try a direct substitution with a Speer 168 Gold Dot.
