2013年4月30日 · well, it finally happened, after 20+ years on the same chrome American Racing wagon wheel rims. I came out to the truck this morning and it was listing a bit more than usual... Flat tire. Uggghhhh. I'm pretty confident that the rims are just about toast. My spare stopped holding air a couple years ago as the chrome rotted through.

2018年2月8日 · I had a set of these exact wheels for my 1979 FJ40, there is NO ISSUE with backspacing. The wheel itself is wider than stock. Stock wheels are 5.5 inch wide with 3.5 inch back spacing. These wheels are 7 inches wide, with 4 inch backspacing to offset the wider wheel. Zero issues, and fit great.

2008年5月8日 · Hey folks, my 40 is almost ready to hit the road and needs new tires, and might as well do rims too. I have an OME 2.5 lift, and a custom FJ62 power steering box with custom tie rods as well as disc calipers all around. Right now everything seems to clear the current 31X10.5X15 setup just fine...

2010年1月7日 · After looking around, I found that the tallest tire you can fit on stock rims are 33x9.50x15s. I powder coated the factory rims to the original color and am keeping the chrome hub caps. I believe the factory rims are 7.5" or 8" wide, and these new tires fit great.

I was going to cut all the clips off of them for a project but decided to preserve the rims and buy the clips I needed. They will need cleaned...

2011年4月17日 · BTW, Spidertrax are hub centric spacers. You don't need them on FJ40, they required on newer 4Runners, Sequoias, LC, etc. All-Pro has good lug centric (required for FJ40) 1.5" spacers for $69 a pair. It's a good price compare to $99 …

2005年8月23日 · Will be getting OEM rims, which are 5.5" wide, 15". Suspension is the OME 2-2.5" Dakar kit. Uncut fenders. 3:73 gears, stock 4 speed. I think a 32" tire would be the right size. In my last 40 I ran 33" x 10.50's on 60 series rims, with stock springs. So I am pretty certain I can still run a 33. But for efficiency reasons am thinking 32 is better.
