FJ40 SOA Kit, Stock Axles With or W/O Reversal. This is the complete kit, with or without a Shackle Reversal. Welding is required! The total of the parts individually is substantially higher than this kit. The kit comes without Leaf Springs because there are so many differing opinions of which springs to use. You will receive:

FJ40 running stock axles, 35" tires, and a Spring Over Axle conversion. A SOA is basically removing your leaf springs from your axles in the stock configuration, and bolting them above the axles. It naturally raises your rig about 6” if you are running stock-height springs, and more than that depending on how much arch you have in your springs.

Given the relatively short driveshafts on an FJ40, the lift associated with an SOA results in an unacceptable angle on the pinion U-joint if the pinion shaft remains in its stock, nearly horizonal position.

2020年2月6日 · Yep, definitely a 'budget' SOA. The bent shackles would seem to indicate some rough use or bad engineering. The knuckle stops and shock mounts appear to be in the OEM location, that along with the huge shim would seem to indicate there was no C&T done.
