The Honda Civic Type R TCR is a racing car built on the basis of the TCR rules established in 2015, which is included in the World Touring Car Cup under the direction of the FIA. In 2019 and 2020, it won the TCR Model of the Year award, which is given for the most successful car in the category across a year.

The Honda Civic Type R TCR, which is based on the FK7 version of the market-leading hatchback, is the same specification as when first introduced in 2018. Its five-door wide body is reinforced by an MSA-Certified welded roll cage.

After the great success of the previous version based of the FK1 model , J.A.S. Motorsport extend his commitment on the TCR series with the latest version of the Honda Civic hatchback (FK7). The car is completely different compared to the 2016-17 Civic TCR model having more Aero, more complex suspension geometry and a new electronics.

2022年5月3日 · TCR本來的目標就是統一規格，統一規定車手的動力/底盤/車重等等，將車輛的差異性降到最低最低，因此這具K20C1最大出力被限制在340hp/6200rpm，42.85kgm/3800rpm。另外像是最新的Audi RS 3 LMS TCR (2021)也是在這個規範內。
