Until now. Using Tiki-Toki for its base, I've constructed a timeline of the entire sequence of events in FMA.

FMA and FMA:B both start the same, but FMA:B follows the source material all the way through whereas FMA has an anime-original ending. If you want to watch the "real" storyline, you'll want to watch FMA:B. FMA:B is also considered to be the better one if MAL ratings mean anything to you.

Look at Lust, by the time of her death in FMA you actually felt for her and her death meant something. Whereas in FMAB she kinda just shows up and dies to Roy.
