2007年5月12日 · Now the SS109 being listed as a FMJBT and not a FMJTC (Full Metal Jacket Truncated Cone) seems NOT to apply here as the bullet does not have a truncated cone. Now the other part about being used in a handgun like the Five-Seven would also not seem to apply because of the lack of the truncated cone.

FN Herstal has stated that the SS190 round will easily penetrate protections that stop normal pistol rounds, but will not penetrate protections that stop the 5.56 x 45 mm NATO round such as Level IIIA armor.

Even if you could get the SS190 up to 4000 fps, you are only looking at about 1,100 ft/lbs of energy and at 2800fps the SS109 gives you 1,079 ft/lbs of energy.

2014年11月1日 · It looks like that ZQI had reboxed the white box 5.56mm marked NATO STANAG 4172 to a newly light OD green colored box with bullet weight (62-gr) and the moniker SS109. They did the same with the 9mm as well, going from a white box to a colored box. My guess is the STANAG4172 must have confused...

2007年5月16日 · The SS109 only needs to have the lead removed and replaced with another substance. I have done this and have them available for sale under the "WTS" topic, "NEW type of 5.7x28 ammo for sale" thread. They work VERY WELL !!! once they are in the correct weight range of 32-34 grns.
