Real-space imaging of the atomic-scale magnetic structure of Fe
Using SP-STM to visualize magnetic order in strongly correlated materials on an atomic scale is highly desirable, but challenging. We achieved this goal in iron tellurium (Fe 1+y Te), the nonsuperconducting parent compound of the iron chalcogenides, by using a STM tip with a magnetic cluster at its apex.
Charge ordering in stoichiometric FeTe: Scanning tunneling microscopy ...
2016年1月4日 · We use scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy to reveal a unique stripy charge order in a parent phase of iron-based superconductors in stoichiometric FeTe epitaxy films. The charge order has unusually the same—usually half—period as the spin order.
Interfacial superconductivity in a bi-collinear ... - Nature
2017年1月17日 · Here we present spin-polarized scanning tunnelling spectroscopy of ultrathin FeTe 1−x Se x (x =0, 0.5) films on bulk topological insulators. Surprisingly, we find an energy gap at the Fermi...
Phase-controllable growth of ultrathin 2D magnetic FeTe crystals
2020年7月24日 · Here we report a chemical vapor deposition approach to controllably grow layered tetragonal and non-layered hexagonal FeTe nanoplates with their thicknesses down to 3.6 and 2.8 nm, respectively....
Superconductivity with twofold symmetry in …
2018年6月8日 · Here, based on the STM/STS measurements on superconductivity induced by the proximity effect in the Bi 2 Te 3 thin film on top of the iron-based superconductor FeTe 0.55 Se 0.45, we present the clear evidence of a twofold symmetry of the SC order parameter and pin down the gap form of Δ 4y from several candidates (16, 17). We also observe an ...
Kondo interaction in FeTe and its potential role in the ... - Nature
2023年7月12日 · Here, we report on a comprehensive study on FeTe using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES), transport property measurements, and scanning tunneling spectroscopy (STS). We observe a...
Nano-scale Stripe Structures on FeTe Observed by Low-temperature STM ...
2013年1月1日 · We have investigated the nano-scale stripe structures on a parent compound of the iron chalcogenide superconductor Fe1+dTe (d=0.033) by using low-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy (STM).
Intrinsic defects and local charge ordering of single-crystal FeTe
2021年8月25日 · We investigate the intrinsic defects existing in single-crystal FeTe via scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). The cleavage surfaces of FeTe show that Te vacancies exist primarily at the top or bottom Te sites. It is known that FeTe presents charge ordering with 2a periodicity (a = lattice constant), as driven by the bicollinear ...
Moiré superlattice modulations in single-unit-cell FeTe films …
2021年12月1日 · Here we grow single-unit-cell (1UC) FeTe film on NbSe 2 single crystal by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) and investigate the film in-situ with a home-made cryogenic scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and non-contact atomic force …
2016年1月4日 · To overcome this undesirable complex-ity, we used the molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) technol-ogy to grow stoichiometric FeTe single-crystalline films and performed in-situ scanning scanning tunneling mi-croscopy (STM) and …
