2012年7月21日 · According to the Black Powder Handbook that I have the powders listed are Goex FFg, Elephant FFg, Goex Cartridge, Pyrodex RS and Pyrodex Select but would assume Swiss and other FFg would also work fine.

2018年2月10日 · I have have shot some of the metallic calibers with a full case of FFFFg to no ill effect. I respectfully disagree with all the naysayers here....that is, if it is a solid firearm in good, shootable condition. To those who say that .45LC was originally loaded for FFg, I say,,,,,prove it. FFg is for large caliber rifles and shotguns, not pistol.

2009年2月6日 · I've ran 72 grs of Goex 3f express with the rcbs 82084 bullet. Velocity went to 1275 fps. 65 grs ran jast a tad over 1200, and 60 grs was doing 1150.

2023年1月30日 · Go on u-tube and watch Everything Black powder about blowing up black powder barrels . Dixie gun works welded the end of a barrel shut and filled it with black powder & they say it didn't blow up.

2019年10月20日 · The only use of FFFFG powder that I can find is in the LYMAN Blackpowder Handbook from 1975. The loads listed are in the blackpowder revolver chapter. 31 cal with RB, 10.0 grs, 694 fps. 13 grs, 795 fps. 5 3/4 " BBL 36 cal with RB, 14 grs to 26 grs, 27.5 maximum charge. 7 1/2 " BBL

2019年6月23日 · It seems to me that the US FFFFg is 40-100 mesh and the nr. 1 swiss BP is 35-65 mesh, so you can see that they are not the same and the swiss nr. 1 has larger grains. Also I found some shooters that are using loads of nr. 1 swiss BP from 15 to 18 grains (with semolina fills) for their 44/40 and 1858 Remington revolvers.
