2014年7月4日 · Added: Poking about the internet, I've found several sources that say "as fine as frog's hair" was a mid-19th century term, variously slang or colloquial, meaning either exceedingly fine (in speaking of a thread or filament—since frogs have no hair at all) or, for unexplained reasons, excellent.

Since a frog has no hair; the filament must be very fine. Similarly, as a metaphor, when you say that "I am finer than frog hair" you mean "very, very fine" or "extremely fine." This can also be used as a (weird) compliment, when you say "you were ("you was" is slang/ghetto talk) finer than frog fur" you are calling them fine.
