2021年6月19日 · The HD10 7gen runs Fire OS 5.6.8.0 which is based on Android 5.1 so this is an issue for me. The Fire7 7th gen has Fire OS 6 as its final version which suggests the HD10 7gen would get updated. Does anyone know/have any info on whether the HD10 7gen will get fire OS 6? Or should I buy the latest fire HD10?

If you have a Fire HD 8 (8th Generation), use that download link. Using updates not meant for your device might fail the update verification or somehow the device gets bricked.

2020年3月20日 · The Fire hd 10 (7th generation) tablet is running Fire OS 5.3.7.0. It also is the only software available on the Amazon website to download. It might get a couple of more updates, but I seriously doubt that it will update to Fire OS 7. The Fire hd 8 (8th generation) is running Fire OS 6.

Though they will provide security and minor updates for at least 4 years after they stop selling a particular generation of a Fire model. That is more than most any other Android tablet brand. 2023年1月19日 · Firefox works fine on a Fire if the version of Fire OS it runs is equivalent to a supported version of Android. I had Firefox 108 on my HDX that runs Fire OS 5 via the Play Store, and no banner shows.

2021年12月18日 · Do not update to the latest version 7.3.2.2 of fire os if you can manage it. It prevents switching to an alternate launcher and keeps several Toolbox tools from working. The XDA thread about the toolkit starts talking about it at about page 373. They also talk about work arounds to make it a bearable device.
