The 8th Gen HD8, and 9th Gen Fire 7 were the only previously released devices to get updated from Fire OS 6 (based on Android 7) to the current Fire OS 7. All the 7th Gen and older tablets - 7, HD 8 and HD 10 - are stuck on Fire OS 5 (based on Android 5.1) or older.

2012年12月5日 · If you do have the original kindle fire and it already has TWRP and FIRE FIRE FIRE on it all you need to do is download the rom you formerly had on your system, and the proper google applications for that rom and then flash them onto the device.

2020年3月16日 · I now literally have a Firefox OS/Android 5.1 VM app that I can fire up at will. Although a tad laggy due to B2Gdroid being quite buggy, it works (internet works both on Firefox and the browser the creator of the unofficial VMOS apk included) and is usable for random messing around.

2016年2月28日 · The program icons on her tablet got larger and the overall graphics layout has changed. She says she didnt change any of the settings manually. My initial thought is that her tablet upgraded to OS 5 and this was possibly the settings the upgrade comes with? I havent found any mention of a similar problem through a lot of internet searching.
