Fleurety is the name of a demon. Initially Nordgaren was the lead vocalist, but his performance on early recordings (especially "A Darker Shade of Evil") permanently damaged his vocal cords, so Svein Egil Hatlevik took over lead vocals from 1994 onwards.

FLEURETY formed in Ytre Enebakk, Norway in 1991, and are known for their experimental & boundary-breaking approach to black metal. Peaceville Records are proud to welcome them to the label’s roster for their upcoming opus.

Fleurety is the lieutenant-general of the armies of Hell, listed as the fourth of the six great officers, the others being Lucifuge Rofocale, Satanachia, Agaliarept, Sargatanas and Nebiros that serve Lucifer in the Le Dragon Rouge.
