Give your mason jar a quick rinse and dry to be sure it is clean and ready to seal. Fill your mason jar, leaving at least one inch from the rim of the jar. Place the Mason jar lid on top of the jar. Now place the jar sealer on top of the lid and press down firmly to snap it in place.

The FoodSaver® Jar Sealer accessory is designed to work with Ball® and Kerr® mason jars in both normal and wide-mouth variety. Ensure it is centered and pressed firmly over the mason jar lid. Make sure the rubber gasket is clean and free from food materials. Look for cracks or scratches on the rim. Check if the metal lid is bent.
