2022年12月15日 · The stock axle ratio for a TT was 7.25 to one for better pulling power with heavy loads. The engine will be wound out by the time you hit 20 mph. There was a "high speed" 5.17 to one gearset that will allow you to get up to 30-35 mph, which should be enough to allow you to keep up with most stock Model T cars.

2022年4月27日 · Those are really nice auxiliary transmissions for model TT Ford trucks! Unfortunately, a model TT Ford truck is the only thing they fit without major modifications. The model T car unit looks similar, is however much smaller, and the two units do not interchange!

2023年5月18日 · Even for just the model T Ford there were several variations in auxiliary transmissions. Among them, under/direct/over (with or without reverse!), direct/under/granny, with the U/D/O with reverse in two different sizes being the most common ones.

2020年7月24日 · Basically, when a Ruckstell is in "high" gear, you are in Ford direct drive. This means the Ruckstell lever is all the way forward. To get into Ruckstell "low" gear, you back off (slow down) on the throttle put the clutch in the halfway or neutral position, and quickly/firmly pull the Ruckstell lever to the rear.

2024年1月21日 · I recently bought a 1925 Ford TT that sometime in the past was converted to 12V. When running, the ammeter is pegged to the charge side of the dial. Is there a component I can install ahead of the gauge to have it read correctly? More important, I don't want the 12V current to burn out the original gauge. I appreciate any thoughts. Dave
