2011年7月21日 · I like my mfwd tw 35. Just like any 20 plus year old tractor, it all depends on how it was taken care of. The steering and the hydraulics are the weak points. I wouldn't recommend them for loader work or running a hydraulic motor. Now that you are talking ih 5288, we had one. I like the ford better. Might be because the 5288 wasn't mfwd.

2008年11月16日 · We have run Ford tractors for many years on our farm. Ours are older and smaller. We have a TW 10 that has over 12,000 hour on it. Didn't have to do any major engine work on it until after 10,000 hours when we dropped a valve in the #5 cylinder. This year we just bought a 9700 with over 8800 hours on it.

The 4wd on the 35 makes the 401 motor work for it's living.The main issue that must be looked into is whether the previous owner kept the antifreeze in top condition-me thinks that Ford may have pushed out some blocks that were already thin in material thickness,just my opinion
