2011年11月6日 · Sunshine, you have to take Forteo everyday, so how would your Dr. give it to you on the weekends? I wouldn't want to go to my Drs office everyday either. Just wanted to say, this injection is "really" easy and rarely hurts. The needle is the size of an eyelash and the pre-metered pen it comes in is nothing like a regular injection.

2013年4月15日 · Before starting on Forteo, my Alkaline Phoshatase(ALP) reading was within normal range. They routinely do this test to discount Paget's disease. After 3 months of starting Forteo my ALP was 169 ( normal 40-130 U/L) The endo was not worried about this. Apparently bone building causes ALP to rise.

And I was also surprised to learn that Forteo not only increases bone density, but it also increases bone size -- and because of this, the DXA bone scan will underestimate Forteo's ability to reduce fractures.
